SINGAPORE, Indonesia Today - Etika International Holdings Limited plans to expedite the setting up of a condensed milk manufacturing facility in Surabaya, East Java to capture the vast Indonesian market.
Etika Chairman Dato' Jaya Tan said that to mitigate the impact of new global economy
slowdown, the company plans to improve operating efficiency throughout the group’s operating units, launch new products and brands. "...and to expedite the setting up of a condensed milk manufacturing facility in PT Sentraboga Intiselera in Surabaya to capture the vast Indonesian market,” Mr Tan said.
Etika has embarked on its expansion plan which includes the capital expenditure for a
sweetened condensed milk production facility in Surabaya to enable the group to tap on the opportunities to widen its customer base.
With the additional capacity and a potentially lower production cost, the group anticipates a further strengthening of its presence in Indonesia, as well as expansion of its export market.
“We see vast potential in Indonesia given its growing middle-class and robust economic development. We are confident that this will boost demand for liquid and dairy products,” added Dato' Kamal Tan, CEO of Etika. (Indonesia Today)
